Canadian Motorcycle Insurance to rise steeply.
Well a new riding season is approaching, and here in N Cal the sun is shining and nights are drawing out - I can even get a quick ride in after work!
But I just saw a web news report on the CBC website that motorcycle insurance in Saskatchewan is slated to rise 73% in the spring. And even more for bikes over 400cc. This is a government program in this province.
Apart from being shocking to the pocket, rises like this will only encourage people to ride without any insurance - or give up riding altogether.
Either of these are not good for motorcycling.
Hopefully this will not spread south of the border.
